Best buy throws with pompoms and fringes

Fact – every home feels happier with added pompoms and tassels! Even if your house is a study in elegance and good taste, you’re never going to feel worse by snuggling up with a pompom or two and a boxset. For more embellishment inspiration, check out our dream bedroom post.

Are you ready for a bit of embellishment now? Let’s break you in gently with pompoms in the same tone as the throw.

The two pink best buy throws are both handmade. The Att Pynta one on the left is made in Dorset by Finnish designer, Nora Nillson. Meanwhile the quilted throw on the right has its own back story. It’s handmade in India from vintage saris that are sewn together and embroidered, so that no two quilts are ever the same.

Big impact best buy throws

So far, so elegant. Now onto the hard stuff! Best buy throws with attitude, if you like.
Wallet warning – some of these are pricey. For that reason they are throws for life, not just a season. If you’re not scared of commitment, take a look at these beauties.

Carrying on with the “throws with a story” theme, the Zoe on the left is made in Holland, and inspired by a mysterious underwater world. All we know is it’s got a fab coral print and some soft neon colours.
The hand-knitted throw on the right is inspired by the stunning Beni Ourain rugs that all self-respecting interior lovers are pinning right now. The throws are handmade in London from 100% British merino wool, and are apparently incredibly soft.

Moroccan wedding blanket

We’ve seen a few high street versions of the traditional Moroccan wedding blanket recently, but this handmade piece is unique. Traditionally these blankets are woven by Berber women – a bride’s female relatives work together on it, in preparation for the wedding. The makers give the blanket to the couple as a symbol of luck and fertility, as well as a beautiful and practical addition to the marital home. Brace yourself, for both its beauty and its impact on the budget!
