Hearts are not just for Valentine’s Day, or certainly not when it comes to interior styling.
We like hearts all year round, and they’re a specially good theme for presents for friends.
So that’s Galentines taken care of. And Palentines. And any other version of Valentine’s Day that is dreamed up to help part us with our money in exchange for a hearty-home purchase.
Here’s our round-up of the most desirable heart-themed interior buys, mainly for our gal pals of course. After all, home is where the heart is! 💕

Hearts at home
Eternal Love bouquet
I love Bloom & Wild. Flowers delivered through the letterbox, so the recipient doesn’t have to be in to receive them. Their collaboration with Nikki Tibbles of Wild at Heart is particularly appealing. Check out their beautiful Everlasting Love bouquet, with dusky pink roses, eucalyptus and waxflowers.
I was lucky enough to be given a gift subscription to Bloom and Wild, and the flowers are every bit as lovely as the photos suggest.
Velvet heart tray
This is a new discovery, and probably my favourite heart-themed item I’ve spotted lately.
It’s available in several colours, including a gorgeous dusky pink, and this lovely moss green. Edged in brass, this is so elegant. Something I think I’d keep forever.
Neon heart light
Here’s how to make hearts not too sugary – go neon, with a light like this. Perfect against a dark wall, it’s not for the faint-hearted interior lover.
I can picture this one lighting the well-trodden path to the cocktail cabinet! Or adding some personality to our kitchen.
Hearts and memories vase
How special would this ceramic vase look with the Eternal Love bouquet above?
The script quote gives it an artisanal feel and it’s a lovely sentiment for a dear friend – “I didn’t know we were making memories, we were having fun.” Could this be the perfect thoughtful gift for any friend on your present list?
Close to my heart cushion
You’ve seen the jumpers (you know, those ones with 1970 across the chest). Now behold the cushion!
Embroidered on merino wool, I’m thinking this one is an heirloom cushion, if such a thing exists. In fact, I’d be tempted to frame the cushion cover as some quirky artwork rather than risking it on the sofa!
The scribbled heart on the Kartell Lou Lou chair makes me smile in a way that the kids never quite achieved when they crayoned on the walls!
I’d love to see an adult-sized version of this chair. Picturing it bringing an air of humour to the study. We’ve had Kartell bar stools in the kitchen for years, and they are super-durable with daily use.
Heart these books! 💕
This is on my reading pile, as it’s been recommended by so many.
And also this book, promising interiors for the brave at heart. We’re all in.
Either of these would make a lovely present, all wrapped up with these “wild about you” flowers from Oliver Bonas.
I’m also a big fan of Biscuiteers, sellers of letterbox biscuits. You can even personalise them.
Any of these lovely goodies give you a total eclipse of the heart?
